Bachelor Degree in Tourism
Duration: 240 ECTS (8 semesters)
Language: Spanish
Introduction
Spain is currently both the world’s second tourist destination and earner. New complicated challenges, such as the maturity of some of our resorts or the need for the introduction of sustainable models that are respectful with our environment demand an increase in the efficiency of our businesses and public administrations. This complexity together with the new demands of the tourist market, the overwhelming technological revolution and the dramatic changes operated in our society call for renewed strategies and management models in knowledge society.
All the above explains the strong demand for qualified tourist professionals worldwide, which guarantees the career perspectives of the new graduates.
Objectives
At the Escuela Universitaria de Turismo ‘Felipe Moreno’ (EUTFM) we are strongly committed to training highly qualified personnel for the tourism sector and other fields related to tourist activity.
On completion of the Bachelor Degree in Tourism the new graduates will be fully qualified to develop their career in a wide range of tourist areas such as hospitality and leisure management, travel consultancy and tour operation, transport management, multilingual tourist guiding, business development or planning and research.
Method
Following the principles set by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), at EUTFM we have introduced a model based on the achievement of competences and learning outcomes necessary for the future tourism industry professionals. Thus, innovative teaching methods promote active and autonomous learning by combining high academic standards with an essentially practical approach. Teaching in reduced groups eases individualised tutoring and advising, at the same time that reinforces the effects of active, participative lecturing methods.
